Great food, but the staff don't know their own menu. The sign reads "orders include rice and beans" and a list of items follows. They didn't give me the rice and beans, and they argued with me about it; and even after coming around and reading the sign, they still asked a superior if they could give them to me. They did, of course, but come on! Don't put carne asada fries on the list if you don't want people to eat it with rice and beans.

Was in town and craving some a burrito for breakfast, so I decided to stop by and pick up an egg, potato, and cheese burrito. I was greeted by a nice, young cashier but there was an old lady in the back just kinda mad dogging me the whole time I was there for no apparent reason lol. It made me feel so uncomfortable, I’m glad I took my food to-go. I wouldn’t come back. The burrito was just alright.

Rigoberto’s Taco Shop serves up great food with bold, satisfying flavors—definitely worth the visit if you’re craving authentic tacos. The indoor setting is clean and inviting, and the outdoor seating is a nice bonus when the weather’s good. That said, the bathroom accessibility could use some improvement as it’s a bit awkward and not the easiest to get to. Still, the overall experience and food quality make it a solid choice. JY review

Of the Rigoberto locations, I think I prefer the one in La Jolla. I’m giving this spot 3/5 stars primarily due to the quality of the California burrito I had last night, which was subpar as far as San Diego goes. Let’s start with the good. The salsas were great, especially the habanero and salsa verde. Very delicious and well-balanced. The tortilla on the burrito was also really good and had the mouth feel of a handmade tortilla. Service was normal for a fast-food spot, and the atmosphere was fairly standard classic taco shop. Now onto the bad. The burrito was very, very greasy. It also only contained carne asada, fries, and cheese—kind of a skimpy version of the classic California. I get that the economy is tough, but at least put pico de gallo if nothing else. It’s hard to call a 3-ingredient California a “California” with a straight face. Overall, it’s hard to justify paying $13 for this burrito. I woke up the next morning feeling a bit sick, too. Nothing crazy, it just was that greasy. I’ll probably avoid this spot in the future.

No frills, good food. I got the menudo. I’m not sure if I ordered it wrong but it didn’t come with hominy so I was a little disappointed by that but the tripe was great. Easy parking too.

Tacos are not only super tasty and delicious but they come in a big portion. Good prices with fast service. I was there around midnight and they had a very nice and friendly staff with great customer service; inside was super clean and they had some tables and chairs outside as well. Don't forget to try their green spicy sauce, It's the best! Rigoberto’s Taco shop is open 24hrs and I definitely recommend this place!

I bought 3 tacos; don't really remember what I ordered. They were around 6$ a taco which might seem expensive at first, but for the size you get, it's worth it. It was flavorful and delicious. It satisfied my craving for a late night taco run.

Great little taco shop. Had the pork carnitas plate. Nice little dine-in area. Was pretty busy for a Thursday night when we were there.
